Handheld Sync of multi-channel FLAC to 2 channel MP3
« on: June 24, 2013, 08:42:47 am »

MC 18.0.201
Samsung S6102 with micro SD card for media storage

Not sure if this should be doable or not

I have a multi-channel flac file that will not sync with a Samsung mobile phone

The handheld options are configured as:
  • Mode: Specified Output Format
  • Encoder: MP3 Encoder
  • Encoder Settings; Fatser CBR Encoding (160kbps)
  • Apply DSP
  • Output Format checked: 2 channel Stereo using JRSS
  • Volume Leveling checked: Mode = Track Based

Details on the file are:
Audio
Format: FLAC
Format/Info: Free Lossless Audio Codec
Duration: 5mn 20s
Bit rate mode: Variable
Bit rate: 3 837 Kbps
Channel(s): 6 channels
Sampling rate: 48.0 KHz
Bit depth: 24 bits
Replay gain: -4.53 dB
Replay gain peak: 0.757420
Stream size: 146 MiB (100%)
Writing library: libFLAC 1.2.1 (UTC 2007-09-17)

This file was generated from a DVD via MC (audio only from video file - btw nice option)

I was expecting the FLAC to be converted to 2 channel & then converted to MP3.

When syncing the status moves from In Queue -> Waiting -> Converting -> Error -> Analysing -> In Queue

Should this work?

thanks,

Steve
