DishNetwork Hopper / Joey DLNA
« on: July 12, 2013, 09:32:38 pm »

Hi bob,

I having a little trouble with DLNA on the DishNetwork Hopper w/Sling (XiP 913).  DLNA support has come a long way in these devices.

Device Spy tells me the following are supported:

    http-get:*:video/mp2t:*
    http-get:*:video/MP1S:*
    http-get:*:video/mpeg2:*
    http-get:*:video/mp4:*
    http-get:*:video/x-matroska:*

    http-get:*:audio/mpeg:*
    http-get:*:audio/mpeg3:*
    http-get:*:audio/mp3:*
    http-get:*:audio/mp4:*
    http-get:*:audio/mp4a-latm:*

    http-get:*:image/jpeg:*

When I set Video Mode: Original, my MKV files play fine.  But that means many other types won't play.

If I set Video Mode: Specified output format only when necessary, the MKV files will no longer play.  Shouldn't these be sent unconverted, since they play unconverted in the Original mode?
