disk space
« on: March 19, 2002, 08:28:46 pm »

I just loaded the program. I tried to rip (copy) a cd, but almost immediately got an error message saying there was insufficient disk space. I saw the Music file on C with the beginning of the recording (first track) and C has only 5 mgbytes of free space. This is because Dell screwed up and configured C way too small and I have not been able to get Partition Magic to work. So I would like to move the Music folder to D or E but have no idea how to do this. There was no choice of location when I downloaded the program. I just need enough space to buffer an entire music CD. Can anyone help me?

menu bar/settings/options/File Naming & Location/output file location/base path [type in where you want the music files to do]

from there you can also elect to create a temp directory on another drive

The option to choose the directory is skipped if you choose express setup

This is for v8.0.xxx. Should be the same for 7.2 if I remember correctly

good luck
