Intermittent Connection to Stereo
« on: August 29, 2013, 03:21:03 pm »

Hi,

I'm a new user setting up for the first time.  I use MC19 solely to control and play music on my McIntosh MX121 receiver.  My MX121 appears in MC 19 intermittently under "Playing Now".  Of course, I can only control the music played on my MX121 when it appears under "Playing Now".  I'm hoping someone can help me find a solution.  I'd love to use J River MC but can't unless I can figure out how to get a consistent connection to my stereo.

Current Settings:
I've tried two DLNA servers: Audiophile 24bit DAC + Generic DLNA
Advanced; these boxes are checked:
- DNLA Server
- DNLA Renderer
- DNLA Controler
All other settings are the default

If I control the music from my MX121, using either of the two MC19 DLNA servers, the connection is consistent.  The only thing I can't do is control my music consistently from MC19 to play on my MX121.  I'd prefer to control the music using MC because it's easier.  I haven't tried any other version of MC.

Thanks!

SOLVED:
Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was interfering with the connection.  Upgrading to 2014 solved the problem.
