JRSS Upmixing >10 channels
« on: September 06, 2013, 10:24:00 pm »

Hey there,

Just downloaded JRiver to check out the auto upmixing to a 16 channel surround setup.

Normally i use reaper but not all programs are able to output their audio feed (whether its using VAC or JACK)

So, im basically wondering if there's a diagram or help file that shows how JRSS uses the speakers leftover after it does the traditional 2channel stereo : 7.1 upmix?

also, cant quite see the room correction options for more than 7.1 speakers?

thanks in advice for any assistance!

Do you actually have 16 speakers or are some of the speaker for 2 or 3 way speakers? Let us know and we can provide more input.

JRSS upmixes to a maximum of 8 channels (7.1) and the Room Correction DSP only works for up to 8 channels.

You can do your own mixing, level, and distance/delay settings using the Parametric Equalizer DSPs. This will let you copy/move channels as needed and apply filters.

Hey Mojave,

I do have 16 seperate speakers - plus a sub.

Are you implying in the parametric equalizer i can 'see' my seperate 16 channels and alter them from there?

Even being able to use a VST on channels 8-16'would be quite useful for me?

Thanks!
