is it possible some how to use xysubfilter as subtitle render for JMC 19? Because i got heavy issues with MC18 and 19 subtitle engine!
My prefered font looks horrible under JMC beside Size is unchagable what ever you do set, it goes back to 16...(same font work great with mpc-hc)

It's not possible to use xysubfilter.

If you post details about the problem you're having, including a way to reproduce it (sub file or sample video), there's a good chance we'll be able to fix it.

Thanks.

Font size is set in the options window, not the subtitle font selection. By default it is 100%.

Could you give a way for us to reproduce?

I just tested a Hebrew sample file I have here and the subtitles look basically the same in MC and MPC-HC.

Thanks.

Thanks for the sample.

There are two issues:

1) How to interpret ANSI text.  My belief is that any Unicode should be saved as UTF-8, UTF-16, etc. instead of an ambiguous ANSI format.  I don't understand why SRT files aren't all saved like this already.  Normally you can use Notepad (or Notepad++) to convert when necessary.

2) Rendering of LTR fonts with advanced joining rules like Arabic present a challenge for the JRiver text engine.  It's an area I'd like to improve through the course of MC19.

It's possible the fix coming in the next build for Thai will also help Arabic:

Any testing or feedback would be appreciated once the build is public.

take a look at the post12 (.srt attached) and compare it to my mpc-hc screenshot.
it's all about punctuation marks now.

thanks

Post 12 doesn't have a screenshot.  The only screenshot above from MC is before the recent fixes.  Could you try again?

Also, is the punctuation on the wrong side of the word, or just using the wrong glyph?

Thanks.
