My HTPC build
« on: September 28, 2013, 10:16:57 am »

Just thought I'd share some pics...

The vintage JVC amp is only temporary...
My Dynaco monoblock tube amps are being held up by FedEx. Grrrr!

The close separation of the speakers might seem counter intuitive, but I process my audio using ambiophonics, which dictated roughly a 20 degree listening angle. :)

It's just an old, low end Okia...
400 or 500 watt maybe...?

I upgrade the CPU to a AMD X3 triple core (hey, $30...why not?!) and my mainboard is able to unlock the 4th core in the BIOS settings...
But I think that's pushing the little PSU too far. A few BSOD!
3 cores is lots for what I'm using it for.

Thanks :)
Sounds even better, with the D2 Xonar, Klipsch KG4's and a measly 1979 JVC integrated amp.
Can't wait for my Dynaco MkIII's to arrive!!
Some fresh tubes, some Bob Crites crossovers and titanium dome tweeter diaphragms, a modded Xonar Essence, and it should be sonic bliss :P
