This is an ongoing problem that I am still seeing in 19.0.50. It seems that MC can't tell how long a video file is. It most recently happened with an .avi file, but I believe it has happened with other formats too. For instance, I was watching an approx. 90 minute movie last night. MC thought it was one second long and hence I was unable to fast forward or reverse. It played OK if I watched it though, but when I wanted to pause, it was toast. I finally watched it by not using MC at all, and having my receiver access the file off of my NAS over the LAN. When I did that, I was able to FF, Rev, pause, etc. without a problem. I ran MC18 and had the same problem.

Any ideas?

i've noticed a similar problem, it seems especially prevalent when viewing particles.
