Titanium HD WASAPI EVENT
« on: September 28, 2013, 05:44:25 pm »

Hi, I can not get WASAPI EVENT to work on my titanium HD unless i play 48khz files+, if i try to play a 44100hz file with wasapi event, it does not work but a 48000hz or 96000hz one would. Why is this and how do i fix?

Wasapi push works for all but i do not want push id like to use event.

Welcome.

Assuming the Titanium is like the X-Fi I'm familiar with, the only way to get bit-perfect output is to use ASIO.  You also need to use 'Audio Creation Mode' and check the 'Bit-matched playback' option.

This way, MC will be able to change the hardware sample rate to match the source.

So I would recommend installing the Creative drivers and trying ASIO.

I've the same problem as above where Wasapi event only accepts 48kHz or higher.  Im connecting a X-fi Titanium Hd via Toslink to a musical Fidelity M1.  (M1 Dac is active).

Using Asio in JRiver allows 44.1kHz and automatically switches to match the source Sampling rate.
Using Wasapi Exclusive Mode - I have to upscale any 44.1kHz to 48kHz or higher in JRiver or I will see an error message.

My Dac accepts 44.1kHz in Asio so why doesn't Wasapi allow it?

Using Wasapi event - Sound seems cleaner than Asio to me, even if being upscaled to 96kHz in JRiver. Bass isn't as bloated.

Note - My M1 upscales everything to 192kHz in the end anyway.

Cheers.

UPDATE : Disabled - Event Style and 44.1kHz is working now.
