Gizmo - sync back to server without password
« on: November 27, 2013, 04:35:29 pm »

It is just me and my husband in the house, and we use gizmo every day to play tunes wherever we are in the house. I would love to sync back our playback stats (my "faves not heard in a year" just keeps playing the same files!) but we don't want to have to deal with a password every time we use gizmo.  Could there be an option to disable it? We really don't need it and don't want it.

No.  Modifying the database is disabled if authentication isn't enabled.

Can't you have it save the password?

If not, I'm not sure what happens if you enable Authentication but make it blank (either just password, or both).

Glynor, yeah, it can't be left blank.  I just tried it on 2 devices and it does indeed remember the login and password, so that's great!  Thanks.
