Imported Playlist removes Cover Art
« on: November 29, 2013, 01:19:48 pm »

I've upgraded from MC17 to MC19.
I exported Playlists from MC17 and impoted them into MC19.
In most cases the cover art is absent in the imported playlist and absent in the main database.

If memory serves, there are some incompatibilities between 17 and 19 - can't remember if they include thumbnail regeneration or not.

If you haven't done so already, you should first upgrade from last version of 17 to the last version of 18. Upgrading then to 19 should be seamless and will include all your playlists without importing.

I'd recommend a backup of your library before each upgrade.

Thanks for your response.
Alas I have upgraded from 17 to 19 without going through 18.
Looks like I'll have to recreate the thumbnails..........

No problem   If it works for you ok. :)

Still might be a good idea to upgrade to 18 first, if you find your playlists or stats are a little strange. It would take about 5 minutes (your 19 license covers this) http://files.jriver.com/mediacenter/channels/v18/latest/MediaCenter180212.exe
