Oldies Lyrics and Top 100 Charts
« on: March 01, 2002, 10:29:29 pm »

A while back, someone was looking for a place to find lyrics. In an even older thread, someone else was looking for a place to find year-of-release info. Well, here's one place to find that info, as long as you're looking for Billboard charts from 1961-1972.

Machinehead

Sorry--I wasn't aware--I only get one small pop-up when I open that page!?!? I hate pop-ups too.

Here's a place that show the top 100 Billboard hits from 1930-1999.  Yeah, the heading says to 1998, but if you check the frame on the left, you'll see a link to 1999 too.

Ah, yes, who could forget that 1977 classic "Shake Your Rump to the Funk", by the Bar-Kays.

The problem is that much of the good music doesn't fit into the Billboard 100 scheme.  I like AMG, but it needs some database improvements.
