File pathing bug in mediajukebox
« on: February 22, 2002, 08:01:59 am »

The system stores paths like "c:/x/y/z.mp3" as a different file from "c:\x\y\z.mp3".  It should recognize th two are the same in all aspects of the system (better yet, convert them to backslashes on import)

Paths should be normalized on import from playlists.

I imported a large playlist (1000 entries), and the system duplicated the entries in the media library because it thought the paths were different.

Some people may not have the technical background necessary to screen all their external playlists for slash-conformity.

I didn't test whether it obeyed case insensitivity - but it should!
