Zrocker,
Could you post your bug list here?

If you can name the 2 or 3 bugs that are most critical for you, I'll see if we can get them fixed.

Sorry if it seems we're ignoring some of the bugs.

What about my bugs? and Doofs? and the guy that lives in the van down by the river?

I spent 4 hours last night reading all the MJ8 threads starting with the alpha version for bugs I posted and verified them in the latest build and posted them there hoping they will be fixed.

I know you guys fixed some of them already and are working hard at getting MJ8 out the door...just givin' ya crap (plus I'm bored again as usual). Next Page

> just giving you crap

We're used to that.

Your bugs come next.

ZRocker was the champion debugger on version 7.  He was merciless, relentless.  We owe him a little special treatment.

Dragyn,

Most of what you reported will be fixed tonight.

A few comments:

*Album Arist* View Scheme: Album Artist/Ablum
Can't drag and drop. Can't rename Album Artist or Album using rename (right click menu). Unable to use F2 to rename.
"This operation can not be completed this way. To convert the media type or bitrate of a file, please use the converter. (Tools->Convert Format)"

Something is messed with your view scheme or view scheme database.  Try remaking the scheme, or even erase browser.jmd and see what happens.

*Status View*
When one file is selected, it shows all files stats instead of that one. When selecting more than one, it shows the stats of the selected.
(Total File(s):/Duration:/Size

By design.

Right-Clicking an item in the Tree opens the viewer pane when unneeded. "Play" is a
good example. It should keep the current window active/updated.

Maybe, but that's how it works now.  We use the view to get what files to play.

When importing mp3s, some are imported with 0 bitrate, 0 time even though the file exists. When playing this file, the correct time is displayed in the player window.

Can you send me one of the files? ( matt @ jriver.com )

*Location*
I have mp3 files in C:\MP3 Files\
I have directories for albums: C:\MP3 Files\Artist\Album\

It'd be hard to put special cases like that in Media Library because there are so many possible combinations.  Media Library always shows everything in AND below a selected item.

Thanks Dragyn.

And Z, have I told you lately that we love you?  I mean it... man do we owe you big.
