Customize view
« on: March 19, 2014, 06:48:52 pm »

If I have a view showing (say) albums I can see all the audio files on the album in a pane below the album thumbnails.

Is there any way that this pane can be to the right rather than below?

In a three-horizontal pane like thing, similar to Outlook?

I don't think so.

I was trying to the exact same thing last night, would be a very useful way to view albums.

I have requested this before as well. When displaying albums, vertical space is more important than horizontal space, so the vertical split makes more sense.

The closest thing to this that you can do right now would be to set up a "panes" library view, with the panes set to be displayed on the left or right-hand size.
Select Album Artist (auto) and Year - Album as the panes to be displayed.
This will give you a list of artist/album, and a vertical list of the tracks at the side.

Unfortunately, with a left or right-aligned panes view, as you add more categories, the pane is split vertically. Another request I made was to simply add more vertical panes, instead of splitting the vertical space.

Would love both these things!
