Hi there,

I'm a fairly new user to MJ. I've bought 7.2 some time ago, and now I'm using 8.0.207. I have an home network, behind a switch/router and I'm looking for the easiest way to share media from my server machine on all the network. I've seen in the help a reference to the Media Server that seems to do exactly what I'm loking for, but I can't find it in 8.0.207. I only have music01 server, and I realize that that would work, but I'd to set up port forwarding on my router and "expose" the server, something that my isp does not allow me to do.

so the question is: is the media server available somewhere in 8.0.207? is there any other way to do media sharing within a local network ?

Media Server was replaced by Music01 server, but that is going to change again.  I can't give you a time.  Even Media Server required an Internet connection.

If you need it soon, M01 is your only choice.

Can we post Music01/Media Server bugs or do you want to wait on that? I found a few bugs on both servers.

I emailed Matt about it but my email went down for 4 days and not sure if he replied/got it. Anyway, there was no response.
