Hi,
There has been several occasions now were we wanted to view a quick detail in a movie, lasting just a few frames.
It is very difficult to achieve armed just with the spacebar 
 
Is there any way we can advance/backtrack playback one frame at a time ?

It is annoying to have to interrupt the movie and fire up VLC just for that...

If the answer is no, any chance of implementing this in a future release ?

No option for it just now. I agree that it can be frustrating.
When I need frame-by-frame I end up switching to MPC-HC. (about the only reason I still have it installed)

That thread is almost a year old, and still nothing happened? Even my old VHS, Laserdisc and DVD players could do that decades ago!
Hope it can be implemented in MC soon, it shouldn't be necessary to have another video player installed just to get this feature, should it?

For sports and especially instructional videos it's a great feature.
