I don't think it is correct for all my "JTV" TV recordings to have a value of 25 fps because I use NTSC TV (and any movies broadcast (I think) would be either 59.94 or 29.97 FPS).
When I record in TS format (my other computer), the FPS are all tagged as I expected at 29.97 and 59.94. However, I can not change to TS (on my main HTPC) because I am using the Haupauge Colossus which only records in JTV.

I looked at the JTV files withthe program MediaInfo and there is no obvious place where the FPS is shown/recorded so I am thinking that maybe JTV files just default to 25 FPS in MC. If this is case, perhaps it could be setup to defualt to 59.94 FPS or 29.97 FPS.  I belive I get smoother playback on my machine when I manually change the JTV files to 59.94.

I guess one thing that would help me know whether or not this is normal/correct, is to know what other members are seeing for the FPS value on their recordings.
If you record in JTV, please post back what FPS values you are seeing.

Just checked a whole bunch of .jtv recordings. The tags all show 25 FPS.

My jtv recordings that are from OTA antenna are 59.94 FPS, but everything I am recording (in jtv) with the Colossus is 25 FPS.

I see that in HD PVR too.  I will look into it.

I installed a Colossus last week in a friend's HTPC and his recordings are also showing as 25fps and not playing back smoothly.
