I've noticed that if I pull files from a smart playlist using MCWS that filters its files based on a Rule of "Playlists is any <x>", then if <x> is updated, the playlist that filters on <x> is *not* updated on subsequent pulls using MCWS. This does not seem to be an issue when MC is acting as a client to an MC server. I am using the newest version MC 20 on my server.

Any suggestions on a part of the API I'm missing?
