Streaming music through JRiver sounds terrific on either my external Dac or my computer's mother board. This is probably the best way to hear both new music and old music from around the world and I really enjoy it.

I have however encountered a problem when these stations insert a commercial.  The commercial will play part of the way and it appears to loose the "lock" and plays a continuous 3 word loop.  The only way I have come up with is to "Stop" and then select "Play" to restart the stream. I have selected play from memory and increased the buffering to 500 milliseconds but I hear a pop and then it gets stuck in the loop.  It is annoying to have to continually reset it every 15-20 minutes. This is great way for them to make their bandwidth available to more listeners but It is extremely annoying.  Any other work around would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am a new member so I am still trying to figure this wonderful program out.

When I started exploring audio streaming I had this same problem with the other stations.  I didn't bother to save them thinking I could find other stations with higher quality audio streams.  I quickly realized I was passing on some good music.

One other special feature regarding the annoying skips.  Abacus bumps up the volume a few decibels so when it gets stuck in the three word loop it really gets my attention.

It appears there is a consistent problem with all the Abacus stations I have listened to.
Here is a list of the offenders:

Abacus.fm Handel http://94.23.252.14:8190

Vintage Jazz Abacus  http://streaming204.radionomy.com:80/abacusfm-vintage-jazz

Play Misty For Me Jazz  http://streaming203.radionomy.com:80/Play-Misty-for-Me

Thanks for your help
