New DSP setting Issue [fixed]
« on: September 25, 2014, 01:50:01 am »

I've been waiting for this feature to recall DSP settings per track, thanks. But in practice the "Effects" setting always sets Environment to Concert Hall and Virtual Subwoofer to 8", settings I don't want, along with the stereo expansion settings I do want. I've tried saving my settings many times, but these keep showing up. Is there a bug not allowing these to be set individually or not set to none in some of them?

I get the subwoofer 8" occasionally (a setting I never, ever use, so the JRiver MC gremlin is applying it.). Thought I was the only one, or there was something weird in my set up. Doesn't happen all the time, though. (I check all the time).

Newest update still does this. It seems to be applied when a DSP setting is used without Effects, then a DSP setting is called with Effects, but seems to apply the concert hall and 8" subwoofer even though the DSP setting should be "none".

This will be fixed in an upcoming build, the Effects DSP plugin was accidentally always overwriting the saved settings.

New build hasn't fixed it yet. Crossing fingers!

After some testing, it appears I can manually load DSP custom settings, but the DSP tag does not work, it loads the default Effects settings of Concert Hall, 8" Subwooofer, and Moderate stereo enhancement whenever the tag calls a setting that has any Effects. I really want this to work, individually calling settings for songs. Please make this work!

As of 20.0.27, this is still not working...I'm using M19 because I've tagged my files.

Could you describe what's happening?  Hendrik's fix should be in the latest build.

The fix did nothing for me. Every time a file calls a DSP saved setting, it always loads Environment "Concert Hall" Virtual Subwoofer 8" and Surround Field "medium" no matter what. I've deleted settings and resaved, but these are always applied whenever there is a DSP call for Effects.

have you tried retagging after having saved the new settings after the fix? .. just a wild guess :)

Another clue, when the DSP window is open, I can manually load the saved DSP settings, but as soon as the next track loads with any effects, the effects go back to some kind of default, not the ones saved.
