Duplicate Artist listings
« on: October 11, 2014, 02:35:35 am »

Hey Everyone ,

Fairly new to using JRiver , about 3 months now. Have upgraded to version 20.

I have about 30 duplicate artist listings that for the life of me I cant get rid of.

Their values are exactly the same , I have tried changing the Tags to something different & they still remain as two separate listings.

Different Albums are present within the two listings but as I said the Artist names are exactly the same and they remain as two separate listings within a list view of the Artists.

Any help woudld be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sandy and welcome to the forum :)

Unless I am misunderstanding,  select the tracks and open the tag window and make sure the Album Artist Field is the same artist as the Artist Field. If they are all the same album artist they should show up under one listing as AlbumArtist is probably the key field in your View.

Does this fix it??

Thanks very much Arindelle!!

I didnt have the Album artist column activated , so i didnt notice anything was different ( only the Arist column activated)

I knew it was going to be something simple.

Thanks heaps , Sandy.
