CDDB problems
« on: January 29, 2002, 01:00:12 pm »

I'm a recent convert from MusicMatch, MJ is a heck of a lot better.  Only problem is I haven't been able to get the CDDB lookup to work. For what its worth it did work with MusicMatch. Everytime it tries to access the service (whether in settings or by putting in a cd) it gives me this error:

"Couldn't get ICDDBControl interface for CDDBControl"

If anyone has any ideas it be greatly appreciated.

Also in case I have to reinstall the program what is the best way to backup the playlists??

FilterXG,

You mentioned that you switched from MusicMatch to MJ. Did you uninstall MusicMatch? If you did just reinstall Media Jukebox and it should fix the problem. I strongly recommend switching to version 8.0 of MJ, it has much better CDDB support, and makes sure that other programs will not uninstall MJ components.
