OSX Yosemite Flashing
« on: October 17, 2014, 01:08:33 pm »

JRiver Media Center 20 for Mac works great with OSX Yosemite; however, when scrolling through the files list I get annoying bright flashes.  The flashes don't appear in any other apps.  Not sure if its a bug from Yosemite or MC20.

Yep, same here. I mentioned it some time ago - I believe it's a MC issue (MC19 also did it).

Very strange. It did not happen for me last night, but then happened when I tried using MC today.

It happens to me if I scroll up and/or down a pane of nearly 1,000 artists or albums very fast. It also happens on Mavericks too.

This seems to be fixed for me in 20.0.24. Anyone else confirm? :)

Happens on 20.0.28 too.
Retina MacBook Pro running Yosemite with Retina mode enabled, if it makes a difference.

Edit: Things actually seem worse with retina mode disabled.

Yeah, it still happens for me too but VERY rarely and I can't reproduce it on demand.

I tried redundantly selecting 100% scale in the view menu, so far no flashing!  ;D

I had not tried it nor noticed it on Mavericks and I do not see anything like this on Yosemite

But now with the latest version of JRiver (.40) I am now experiencing these bright white flashes when scrolling.

Is there any indication from the developers if this is a known issue that is being worked on?

I have just installed Yosemite. My trial version of the media centre will not allow ripping CDs. Any one else had this problem who was able to rectify?

Albionshrew, perhaps it would be more appropriate to create a new thread with your issue, rather than diluting this discussion.

Ripping is only in recent builds.  Update to the latest build from the top of this board.
