Do I need a plugin to play SACD ISO files?
« on: February 08, 2015, 11:38:52 pm »

I've recently ripped my SACD's to ISO files. I thought JRiver could play these files natively or do I need a plugin?

When I plug my USB harddrive into my PC JRiver can see these ISO files, but when I choose to play them nothing happens. I don't even get an error message.

I think they need to be imported in the library.

That did the trick thanks. JRiver won't play the files directly from the hard drive, but once you import them everything is fine.

Audio Path shows the following:
Input: 352.8kHz 64 bit 2ch from source format SACD

Changes: Adjust volume by -10.0 dB for volume leveling
Resample from 352.8kHz to 192kHz

Output 192kHz 32bit 2ch using ASIO (not using enough bits to output the input directly)

My DAC is showing 192 as the Sampling Frequency KHz and 32 Bit Depth on the display.
