Hi, I am trying to configure the Import setting such that each episode in a TV/Anime series has a "series" tag which is the same as the root filename.

For example, say the series name is called "ABCDE". I would like each episode in the series to also have a tag that reads -> Series: ABCDE.

In the import folder, there is a "Series" tag field but there is nothing I can find which makes this tag = folder name. How do I achieve this?

not sure exactly what you are trying to do....do you want the [series] tag to be automatically assigned during import?

if so you need to go into tools>import>configure auto import
select the folder you wish to mess with, and Edit
now Apply these tags>Add>custom
choose the [series] field and define your criteria.  in this case you would probably be using the filefolder() expression.  please check here for formatting rules for the expression and test on small batches first

personally, i don't like auto tag on import, so i configure an incoming folder, tag the [series] field myself to make sure it's all perfect, then use the Rename/Move/Copy tool to move them where they should go.  in the RMC tool you would just set the path to something like c:\TV Shows\[series]\[episode]-[name] or some such, and save it as a preset
