burning problem

when i try to copy a cd, i can mark the songs, drag them to the action window for burn cd, and start the process--i then click in the small area at the page bottom.  then a small window appears, that says something like the cd is burning, but the progress bars are blank, and nothing happens--mc9 (9.1.255) seem s simply to freeze.  

any ideas?

same with newest build--anyone? why can i not burn from mc9? nweo works fine
