DLNA, DSD and bitstreaming
« on: July 12, 2015, 04:01:09 am »

I dug into this issue before, but have not found a useful answer. I have set MC20 to bitstream and through USB it works fine (DAC has native DSD support). I also use another DAC in my network through DLNA. Does bitstream also work via the DLNA (i.e. ethernet). How can I check whether the other DAC has native DSD as input. Most DAC's I know which support DLNA and notoriously vague on what happen in DLNA mode.

DLNA works differently.  You can think of it as a file transfer.  But MC can convert the files first, so check your DLNA Server settings in MC.

If I look at the options for DLNA in MC20, there is no possibility for DSD. I only see PCM and MP3. Am I correct?

Look here for more information about DSD over DLNA:
