Freezing Video with Crossfire Setup - Windows 10 64 Bit
« on: August 07, 2015, 09:04:53 am »

Hi All
Just thought i'd share as I had an issue that I have managed to fix (well sort of).

I just fresh installed to Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit and all was fine except when I would watch TV the picture would freeze. No artifacts or anything - just stop however the sound would continue in the background.

Media Center doesn't crash or anything.

I have 2 x ATI R9 280x Graphics cards in Crossfire and I have found that the problem goes away if:

1. I disable Crossfire.
2. I change Video Mode from Red October HQ to Red October Standard.

Since I record a lot of TV in 1080i I like to use the De-interlace settings that come with MadVr so the second choice wasn't really an option.

Changing Hardware Acceleration or VideoClock makes no odds.

I have a logfile if you want to do some analysis and I can easily replicate it?

If not; at least it this workaround may help others.

Windows 10 is only a week old of course!

Cheers
