Scan/import always misses thousands of files
« on: December 01, 2015, 10:41:21 pm »

An amazing program

heads and shoulders above the rest

I only have 1 problem

It always misses up to a few thousand files (music ) or several hundred

gigabytes  on a library import .

i dont know how to correct this

Do i have to manually go and correct each one on the HDD ?

Cheers

Are you sure you have all of the relevant file types selected for the import?  Also make sure you've selected appropriate folders to watch. MC tries to guess on first run, but you can configure watched folders manually. Maybe your missing files are in a place MC isn't looking?

Thanks for reply

I didn't mean to say files are actually missing

I do remember after a lengthy scan a message pops up due to

failed imports .But theres no way of saving that msg

i remember it said failed to imprt , some names too long other files bad

Now when i go to actual drives and click on infos i see i actuall have several

thousand more files ( and hundreds of gigabytes more ) than JRiver tells

me that i have

i hope i explain well enoough

Cheers
