WebGizmo features...
« on: June 05, 2015, 12:13:49 pm »

Hello, I’ve been a JRiver user for the last 4 years or so. I’m a software developer and found myself with some free time and in need to sharpen my web UI html5/css/jQuery development skills. So I decided to tweak WebGizmo and added a few “nice to have” that I’ve been eager to add for a while.  The biggest one being the ability to Drag-n-Drop (slide in tablet) songs order in the Play Now List. Also added a few other nice-to-have like navigation menu, look and feel and screen flow.
I put the code in GitHub if anybody else want to try it.

Oh, and it has a lighter color scheme… I could do a darker one if you guys/gals prefer that…
Thanks

Welcome and thanks.  I assume you meant WebGizmo, not Gizmo.  I've changed the title.

I think the UI is a very nice improvement. One problem I am having is that when playing a track it does not display the album art or track info. Just a black box (the control buttons work fine).

Hi, I'm glad you liked the UI.

-> "One problem I am having is that when playing a track it does not display the album art or track info."

Is this happening when it's playing as  "This Location" or used as a "Player" RC?

When I am using This Location.  When I am using at a remote all of the controls appear (though the album art does not).

This fix is working (and looks) great!

Another bug I have seen.  If I click on the Play All link as seen in this Playlist view It starts playing the first track (as sorted by name) in my Library and not the first track in the playlist, if I click on the playlist and go to that playlists page and click Play All, it queues and plays the expected tracks.

If I click the Play All link in any other view it starts playing tracks in a sort order I have not yet figured out, though is the same whether the view is by Artist, Album, Release Year or Genre.
If you click any of the Play All links while on the actual Artist page it will play all of the artists tracks. So if I click on the Play All for an individual album, while under artist view it still plays everything for that artist.

If you drill down to the individual album page it Play All plays the expected tracks.  As this works as expected none of the above is really a big deal, just not expected behavior and probably a bug.

Cool, I'll look into that... I think I noticed that a few days ago, it should be an easy fix.

I made bug fix. I added shuffle play on "This Location" mode as well. I'm still working on the sort mode though...

Forgive my ignorance: What do I have to do to make this work?
