Help needed: Getting error message with extracting
« on: July 20, 2003, 12:27:05 pm »

I've been ripping CD's to my hard drive without problems for 3 mos. and then this message started popping up:

"Read track failed. Failed to extract digital audio."

I hit OK and then the next message is:

"Would you like to keep extracting further tracks."

Any help?

Is this now happening on every disk or just this one.  Sounds like a problem with the disc.  Give it a clean.  Try playing it.  Check that all tracks play Ok.

It can be easier to help people if they follow up their threads and give as many details as possible. While running MC you can go to Help > System Info. The data that is displayed is automatically copied, and you can paste it into a post on this forum.

JLee's question about all discs or one disc is very relevant - if it's one disc, that disc might have errors or copy protection preventing proper ripping.
