MC's memory
« on: August 22, 2003, 12:32:05 am »

Hi all.
I know this question has been asked before, but as I didn't find the right search word, I have to ask again: what should I do to make MC remember  the sequence in which the different columns are to be sorted at the different levels? I mean, like in the Artist/Album sorting I would like this priority: 1)Rating (highest at the top) 2)Album 3)Track#. In another sorting I would like another priority. How do I make MC open these windows with the same priority settings the next time I open it? (Hope this makes sense. I haven't even got the program on this PC, and can't quite remember the correct names of the functions.)

Thanks in advance?,

What version are you using?  In the latest beta of 9.1 you just right click on the column headings and it will be obvious what to do from there.  Once you've saved the settings as you want them you need to turn off the option to automatically save sorting changes.  It's in that right click menu somewhere but I don't have MC in front of me at the mo.

To keep your saved sort order from being changed:

Options --> Tree & View Settigs -->
(uncheck) Auto Save Sort Changes
