Custom Theme Settings
« on: March 06, 2016, 12:43:44 pm »

Hello,
I'm still somewhat new to MC, so still learning the in's & out's. I have been using Windows MC for several years with frustrating results. Have tried several other options in an effort to get away from WMC, but now i believe i have finally found the answer! I am loving JRiver so far, it does much more that WMC ever did.... and the data base hasn't corrupted once! (a continuing issue with win mc).

I am only interested in the audio portion of the program. I am using it on a standalone machine that is not connected to the internet. It will only be used for playing music, primarily in theater view.

My question is, is there a way to alter the Obsidian theme (or any other) on screen "buttons" to be a more useful (at least for me) configuration? In other words, i would like to have, say 'Audio' 'Genre' 'Playlists' 'Artists', etc. (more audio centric) instead of the current 'Audio' 'Images' 'Playlists' 'Gadgets' 'Exit'. I love all the customization built into mc, but am unable to, as of yet, find where i might make these changes, if they are even possible.

Any help you can lend would be very much appreciated,

Tom

Please take a look at the Theater View customization options under Tools > Options.

You may want to try the "Audio Only" view found at View>Audio Only

Thanks,
I've been through every option, i believe, in "settings > theater view" and i can find nothing that makes my desired changes (modify button structure/navigation). Also, "audio only mode" doesn't do anything to alter the theater view that i can see. Maybe this is not possible? I know it will take a lot of time playing with the interface to get it down, but two things keep giving me issues (i'm using a windows MC remote). I can't seem to find out how to "get out" of reading my comments tag in the info view. So far any button i use takes me away from the currently playing file and the 'info view'. And genre is difficult to navigate to, where is it anyway? I'll keep looking for a way to change the opening theater view screen to a more audio only user friendly look....and report back if i find anything.... and of course if anyone has any ideas as to how help me with this i'm all ears!
