Hi all,
I have a view that I want to push to the entire tree: a playlist group that consists of various playlists. All these playlists have to get this view.
However: unlike the 'lock'-option, I can't find a way to push this view to all 'the children' (as the lock-option has).
Is there another way to do it or do I have to add this view to all the lists one by one?

When you say "view" do you mean the column layout?

If so, I don't know a way to set that for more than one playlist at a time.  Of course, you can save your column layout as a preset, and then set it in each playlist, pretty quickly since it's a pre-set.  But yes, it will require one operation per playlist.

That's quite a bummer, because I have to do that to 50 times 52 lists (some 2,500 that is...)   :-(

2,500 playlists?!?!?!?  That's amazing.

How did you ever generate so many playlists to start?  Maybe there's another solution that would help you achieve your goal that might involve views instead?  What are you using these 2,500 playlists for?

Haha! Yeah, you're right... In a way it's ridiculous. But it's easy to explain: I have made playlists of every Top 40 chart of the week since 1965.
So: 1965, week 1; 1965 week 2, 1965 week 3 etc. etc... until 2015 week 52
So every playlist consists of the 40 songs in the right order of that week.

That actually makes a lot of sense.

I'm trying to figure out an easy way to help you with this one, but I haven't come up with anything.  Maybe someone else will have a clever suggestion.

Thanks for your efforts, Brian. I do hope someone else has an idea how to do this - otherwise it's gonna be a lot of work and a bit of RSI :-(
