Need Help with Zones
« on: August 14, 2003, 03:55:51 pm »

9.1.231 ...

1) I have Zone 1 set to Direct Sound > onboard soundcard > headphones and Zone 2 set to Wave Out > USB Audio > optical > home theater amp ... I can use ctl-t to switch between them, but I don't see the Playback Options button anywhere (am using PixOS) nor do I see how to add such a button to the top toolbar ... (when the kb is not in my lap it's down on the floor, so I use the mouse for most things).

2) Is there any way to have the Zones linked?  Ie, one source going to both zones simultaneously?  This would really be great when I just want to quickly switch a track/playlist from Zone 1 headphones to Zone 2 HT amp.

I can only help you with your last question since I don't use 9.1, I'm st ill on 9.0. And no, there is no easy way to do it. I have done so in the past by hooking up the SPDIF output from one card to the SPDIF input on other cards. But I believe that's the only possibility.
