convert to "multiple artists" for file naming
« on: May 22, 2016, 05:52:50 am »

I have several albums that are "multiple artist" albums but ended up in directories based on the artist name.  Is there a way to use the rename/move/copy feature to rename the file names and have MC put the album in the "multiple artists" directory?  I do have that option checked but for these albums it doesn't work.

I guess the underlying question is what makes an album "multi-artist" and how can I tell MC that these albums are multi-artist.

Use [Album Artist (auto)] in your naming scheme, instead of [Artist]

If the album is complete, and there is more than one artist, it becomes (multiple artist)

Just select all the files on the album, manually type (multiple artists) for album artists (auto) and then do what you want with the files in RMC
