How to convert without importing

Hello, is it me or do you need to import files to convert them? It's a little bit annoying, import, convert, move originals, including import operations (if I want to convert on my MC client (better PC), I need to switch to a local library).

No need to import. Just drag them into Playing Now, convert, then remove from Playing Now.

Thanks, but this doesn't work when MC is set as client? Convert is grayed.

Agreed.  I have same problem.  Sure, it's easy to remove the converted format, but the mode seems to allow for

"Leave original file, do not add destination file to library"

I use this to export my ape files to mp3 for my car.
