Video issues with Windows 10
« on: January 26, 2017, 10:54:55 am »

Hi,

Thanks in advance to bring assistance.
I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and reinstalled everything.
From audio point of view, everything works well. But I've some issues with the video part. Never had this on my Windows 8.1 old PC.

- videos take very long time to load (10 seconds), sometimes MC hangs during several seconds...

Example:

- FSE switch does not work and so 10 bits output too
stick at D3D11 windowed (8 bits) mode
- Scaling to 2160p does not work (no image doubling, no scaling to UHD)

example:

------------------
MadVr
"enable automatic fullscreen exclusive mode" is checked.
"Use Direct3D 11 for presentation..." is checked
PC levels / Madvr levels : RGB 0-255
MadVr bitdepth : 10 bits or higher

Windows:
Windows 10 Pro x64
Nvidia GTX 1070 with latest Nvidia Driver
Defender and firewall are stopped

I think the madvr thread on doom9 is probably the best place to ask, especially given that you're using the latest madvr (which I don't think jriver are shipping at this point in time)

Try setting JRiver's video to Red October HQ.

Try without "Hardware Accelerate". Does that make any noticeable difference?

Problem solved, data corruption with my old library + memory read mode rather than disk that causes problems with movies.
I went with version 0.91.1 of MadVr (which brought NGU). Exceptional video quality!
