Unable to upgrade Media Center Plus 9.0.89

I am unable to upgrade Media Center Plus 9.0.89, I receive an error message - failed to connect to a server - every time I tell the program to check for updates.  This has been happening for a few months.  I purchased my 9.0 key 11/30/02 and had trouble upgrading in January, a listing on this board helped me fix that problem but it has pooped up again

I am using WinXP, 256mb ram, plenty of disk space and my system software updated to latest service packs and updates.  .

I appreciate your help.

Not sure what's going on, but you can just manually download the newest version of MC 9.0 here:

http://ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter90180.exe

Maybe the new install will take care of your problem as well?


If you're insterested... there's a beta version of MC 9.1 you can download. The link is listed in the topmost thread in this forum. Keep in mind that it IS beta, though, and it might not work quite right. I'm running it and personally am not having any major problems with it. If you decide to try it, be prepared for a big suprise!
