DSP issues
« on: November 19, 2022, 04:55:35 pm »

Hello, I just hooked up a new audio device (an Allen & Heath QU16 Mixer), and I'm having some issues as follows
-on first trying to play Media Center through it, I got the error message "Playback could not be started on the 'Core Audio' using the format '44.1kHz 2ch'.  This output format may no be supported by your hardware.
-So, I contacted A&H and they said correct, the QU16 is fixed at 48kHz and 24bit.
-I then went into DSP Studio and changed the sample rate to 48kHz.
-Still nothing

Please note that I've tried using VLC, iTunes, and various streaming services including Spotify and Pandora as well as YouTube, and I've had absolutely no problem getting audio.  Please help, I don't know want else to do or what the problem might be.  Is there some other setting I should be aware of?  Thanks!

Make sure you check the box next to output format in DSP studio.

Hello and thanks for your response.   I had all set up as suggested and it still didnt work.  However, I accidentally stumbled into Channel Offset.  That was the magic key that made the connection.  Thanks again, I really love media center!
