Ripping CD problem
« on: June 26, 2003, 10:11:49 am »

Here are the steps I performed:

1. Put CD in Drive
2. Start MC9
3. Go to CD,DVD, & Handhelds section
4. Click On CD Drive icon
5. After it says CD was not found in database
6. Enter Information (no illegal file name characters)
7. Click on RipCD
8. Click Auto Rip (or Start)

then it says "initializing" for a 2 sec and then "copying" and it stuck on "copying".  CDROM light not blinking, nothing.

What direction should I look to fix it.  I download and bought latest version yesterday.

Thanks.

Sounds like a copy protected disc (not officially a CD, according to Phillips). If it's an audio CD, perhaps others have run into the problem also.

What CD is it?

It is not copy protected CD. it from 1997 and I riped it before on same box with MMJB7.5 (just accidently erased it)

First time I clicked On RIp CD it said it need update view, then something about Real Player. It never completed so I had to kill the task after 40 min.

also my version of MC9 is 9.0.180

Try disabling on-line CD lookup.
