Upload pictures to Flickr
« on: November 04, 2017, 07:47:05 am »

Apologies - first post...have looked in the Wiki with no success.
I have MC21 and want to upload some pictures to Flickr. I select the photos and right click for option to upload  - flickr launches but states I am not using current explorer version and may not have all the functionality of flickr. When I close that dialogue box and log in to my Flickr account nothing happens. I am running edge on the PC so not clear why it is saying I dont have up to date explorer. Do I need premium flickr to access this function?

I know I can upload to pic01 but TBH I find the interface clunky and only want to share with limited people.

Any help appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

Flickr may not get used much, so it's possible it isn't working any longer.  We can check it.

The browser used is MC's internal browser engine.  This can be set to IE or Chromium in MC's options.  Search for "browser" in the search window at the bottom of the options page.  It's worth trying both.

Thanks - what is considered "best" online photo sharing site if Flickr is no longer being supported?

Under "tree and View" settings? Options are explorer and Chromium - not same as Chrome?

Chromium is correct.  It's the browser "engine".

Chromium does not work either. I tried sending the files to a facebook album and that does not work either.

IMO, anything not owned by Yahoo/Verizon. 500px or Unsplash would get my vote, but "the best" is in the eye of the beholder.

P.S. Chromium is the open-source web browser Google Chrome is based upon.
