Sidecar ASS subtitle not available in DLNA
« on: January 02, 2018, 07:34:44 am »

My setup is
- Windows 10 MC23 with Media Network server enabled
- Mac MC23 connected to the windows MC23

I have a video file in MKL encoded with h264 (a.mkv), and a subtitle file (a.ass) placed in the same directory and imported into MC23.

When the video is viewed on Windows MC23 (local), I can right click and enable the subtitle.
When the video is viewed on Mac MC23 (via DLNA), there is no subtitle available.

So far I have checked:
Configure DLNA Server > Present Subtitle Resources (Enabled)
Configure DLNA Server > Present Caption Resources (Enabled)

Anything I am missing? Is such use case supported in MC23? Thanks

Not many renderers support sub titles when playing via UPNP.
