Loses TV channels when shut down
« on: January 07, 2018, 08:30:20 pm »

Hello,

I trying to do away with Cable boxes, and I am using JRiver 22 and an Intel NUC running Win 7 hooked up to a Homerun Prime unit.  Many times I have reconfigure the channels because a dialog box opens up saying that there is no unit selected.  The strange thing is that the cable card shows up,  as does the 3 tuners built into the Home Run unit.   I run the configuration routine again and it all works. Any ideas to correct this troublesome issue?  Also how does the channel guide show and work? I can only get the channel number to appear when I change the channel. Any advice here also?

MC needs some time to discover tuners on the network.  Each time when MC is started, you need to wait for about 30 seconds (maybe even a minute) for MC to find the tuners.

There are times (at least for me) that MC never finds them, or maybe only finds one of the two that I have.  I typically just do a restart of the software, and then it finds them within a minute or so.

Not sure why it doesn't work 100% of the time.
