Dear all, I'm importing files that have been tagged by Mp3tag and iTunes. MC23 shows default tags only, like Artist or Album. I want to use sort order tags too, that are stored in the files and are shown by Tag Dump, for example: TSOP (Artist Sort). I have tried to create a corresponding Library Field, but whatever I try as Name, it doesn't seem to work. I have tried so far: ARTISTSORT [as shown in Mp3tag], TSOP only, TSOP (Artist Sort) [as shown in Tag Dump]. Now I'm running out of ideas. Could somebody help me out? Many thanks!

The name must match exactly, including case.  It's probably TSOP.

If you use that, what does MC show?

TSOP does not work. I was hoping that someone else is using sort order as well and can give me a hint...
If I use TSOP the field shows up, but it is empty, so the MP3 tag is not read correctly.

You may need to do a little research to find the correct name.  The data may not be where you think it is.

I think "Artist Sort" should work.  That's what we have in our ID3v2 tag lookup.

Thanks, Matt! Artist Sort is working now . Does that mean Tag Dump is showing the correct name MC is using in brackets after the ID3v2 frame name? Is this ID3v2 tag lookup available for reference somewhere?

May I ask for another one? I am using the 'Sort Album Artist' field for some compilations. This is how it is called in iTunes. In Mp3tag it is ALBUMARTISTSORT. MC shows TSO2 as ID3v2 frame in Tag Dump. Does anybody know how to name the corresponding Library Field? I have tried 'TSO2' and 'Album Artist Sort' so far. In contrast to 'Artist Sort' there is no value in brackets in Tag Dump so I would guess it is not in the ID3v2 tag lookup table...

I just wanted to know in general how to access ID3v2 tags that MC does not know.

Currently it's not there.  But a future build will have support for the field:
Album Artist Sort

When you plan to add new fields anyway, would it be much effort to add "Composer Sort" (TSOC), too? This is also missing from the iTunes default fields
