Internet track name lookup
« on: June 16, 2003, 11:43:56 am »

Do the infos - when you get it- going to 'cdplayer.ini'?

I maybe ofline for sometimes - i'am moving-

Can be the right time to rip some LPs.

How can i save  the infos i got from Internet track name lookup ,to be able to use it when offline?

By the way : if you have mint LPs ,MC does the job , I mean does the job VERY well , no need for $$$$$$$$$$ softwares.

Listening to: 'Luxuria' from 'Songs Of Sex And Death' by 'Amber Asylum' on Media Center 9.0

Sorry, the information isn't saved in cdplayer.ini. That file is keyed off the unique CD id number (same number as the volume ID of the CD). An enhancement to save and retrieve this information would not be trivial... how valuable would it be?
I assume the scenario you're talking about is that you have a stack of LP's or cassettes you want to record using sound recorder, then you want to go on-line and do all the lookups, then go off-line and do the actual recording. Is that right?

By the way, thanks for the kind words!

Reading your answer ,i understand  that asking if Internet track name lookup is going to 'cdplayer.ini' was dum question.

And ,yes, you understood exatly what i would like to do.

I'am moving back outside Tel-Aviv - i really miss the green of trees ,grass  ect.
I do not know how long i may need to get an internet connection- And ,to be fair ,after 5 years of total addiction ,can be good the make a break..

I would like to get the most albums infos i can get since still online and be able to use it when ripping my lps ,latter and not having a connection.

By the way, thanks for the kind words!

Recorder stands at the same hight level than all MC.

Yes ,maybe to set the optimal sound level is harder than some others programs.

But rip with a 'more friendly sound level settings ' program
After that ,bother to set MC  , rip and .......

JUST LISTEN TO EACH RIP , MC recorder's sound is just  MUCH MUCH MUCH better.

With streams ,radio and LPs.
Still never ripped one of my many tapes , but i assume the result is the same.

When you put a cd in the drive.,infos are saved in cdplayer.ini

We are speaking about Recorder.
You enter Artist Album name and YADB search his data base.
If the infos are in YADb  ,you get the songs names.

Now ,if you are telling me this infos are going in cdplayer.ini , this is good news

Yes, both commercial CD's, and custom CD's I have recorded with CD-Text are added to the cdplayer.ini.  ;D
