DSD64, DSD128, DSD256, ...
« on: March 03, 2018, 06:41:24 am »

Hi,

this a feature request:

In case a DAC is capable of e.g. DSD128, the user wants to play native DSD of course and it works.
But DSD256 would not play, because JRiver does not convert the file to PCM.

As a solution it would be great if we would have individual settings for different DSD sample rates.
Should not be too complicated to implement - maybe.  :)

reg.,

You mean the ability to limit the the max DSD sample rate when bitstreaming (otherwise anything higher is converted to PCM?). If so it looks like it's on the future to-do list.

Absolutely correct! If so, it would be really great!  8)

Don't know, that's up to JRiver and the devs to decide.

I will pay full price for the upgrade once this feature is implemented.
