Downloading Movie Poster Art
« on: June 21, 2018, 10:04:55 am »

I have been wondering whether there is a way to download additional movie posters for movies and boxset movie sets?

When doing the info for individual movies using the 'Get Movie and TV Info..' for the most part the poster that comes up is the correct one, but there have been a few where I wanted a different poster other than the one that was presented. Same for movie boxsets. Other software media players like Plex and Emby can do this easily but in MC is a bit more work in having to download the poster manually and then having to import it to MC, short of having to scan the actual DVD or BD covers.

I was wondering whether there is a software program where you can just download movie covers and artwork for both individual movies and boxset covers? That way I could pick which one would best suit for my collection.

media companion is freeware and don't look to bad

Thank you for the links....I had actually forgotten about MCM....used them a long time ago. But I wonder how well it will intergrate with MC? Guess i'll spin up a VM, download both programs and find out.

MCM, the paid version has mostly features I will never use anyway since I don't download shows or use torrents. The free version pretty much has what I need.

I've never use either, I have a little app that finds track info for music and inserts it in MC. Well I haven't used it with MC24 yet so will keep my fingers crossed. :)
