Sound dropout with Radio Paradise
« on: June 14, 2018, 01:03:06 am »

20. Fixed: Stopping Radio Paradise right after it was started would stall waiting for the upcoming tracks to load.
Yes, it became much more convenient.

21. Changed: Double the amount of pre-buffer when playing a Radio Paradise track to hopefully avoid cut-outs between tracks.
Unfortunately, a short sound loss still exists. This happens at the end of the track, at the moment when the information about the next track appears and its buffering begins. Switching output modes Direct Sound/ASIO/WASAPI does not affect in any way. It also does not depend on the size of the buffer. However, in the "Disk Writer" mode, the created file does not contain pauses or failures.
And one more observation. If you stop playback on the second track and start playing the first track again, then there is no pause in the VASAPI mode at the end of the song, but in modes Direct Sound and ASIO it is again present.
Windows 7 pro x64, MC x64.

Would you try maxing the pre-buffering out and see if that makes it go away?  Thanks.

Having the same issue as described by Alex M - just tried setting pre-buffering to 20 seconds and still getting a hiccup before the start of the next track.

At the time of import, is it possible to add the ability to insert data into user fields according to the rules that are set?  Thanks.

The answer is yes, the ability already exists, but not where you are looking.
